FEATURES & BENEFITS
Four Auger Sizes
Caterpillar offers four auger models: the direct-drive A7 Auger for the Mini Hydraulic Excavator, the chain-driven A14B Auger for the Mini Hydraulic Excavator, Multi Terrain Loader and the Skid Steer Loader, the planetary-driven A19B Auger for the Mini Hydraulic Excavator, Multi Terrain Loader and the Skid Steer Loader and the planetary-driven high flow A26B Auger for the Skid Steer Loader.
A7 Auger
Direct-drive design and hex-shaped output shaft. Compact cylindrical housing design is enclosed to minimize contaminants entering the drive housing when operating.
A14B Auger
The A14B direct drive system features a variable speed, bidirectional, gerotor style hydraulic motor coupled to a sprocket/chain reduction system for optimal bit speed and output torque for light to moderate duty applications.
A19 Auger
The A19 single reduction planetary system features a variable speed, bidirectional, gerotor style hydraulic motor mounted to an in-line planetary gear box for optimal bit speed and output torque for moderate to heavy duty applications. The additional output torque provides better performance with larger diameter bits.
A26B Auger
The A26B double reduction planetary system features a variable speed, bidirectional, gear hydraulic motor mounted to a planetary gear box for optimal bit speed and torque for extreme duty, high performance drilling requirements. Its exceptional output torque capabilities provides excellent performance in the toughest conditions withe the largest diameter bits.
Wide Range of Auger Bits
Auger bits are rugged and adaptable to a wide range of projects. Standard and tree bit options are available in a variety of diameters. Hex-to-round shaft adapter is available to accommodate existing round auger bit mountings
FEATURES & BENEFITS
Hardened Side Cutters
Replaceable weld-on side cutting edges are hardened to optimize cutting and extend bucket life.
Curved Side Edges
Caterpillar digging buckets feature curved side edges for even application of digging force throughout the cut, allowing for better control. Rounded corners help reduce material packing for maximum productivity.
Application
Caterpillar Digging Buckets are designed to optimize the performance of the Cat Mini Hydraulic Excavator in a wide variety of applications and materials. These buckets are ideal for utility trenching, digging footings, backfilling and general excavating in construction, landscaping and utility applications.
Hardened Teeth
Caterpillar bolt-on uniteeth are produced from hardened medium carbon alloy steel for long life. Tooth spacing and number of teeth are driven by performance and the ability to leave a smooth floor.
Maximum Digging Force
Caterpillar Digging Buckets are designed to deliver maximum digging force from Cat Mini Hydraulic Excavators. The geometry of each Caterpillar digging bucket has been optimized to take full advantage of the power, controllability and maneuverability of Caterpillar Mini Hydraulic Excavators for consistent, dependable, high quality results when excavating.
Tapered Side Walls
Tapered side walls are angled on the buckets with widths of 12 in. and above to improve loading and reduce bucket drag while trenching for a more professional finish. The smaller buckets feature straight side walls for handling the narrowest of applications.
Tool-Free Bucket Changing
Hook-up is easily accomplished for quick, tool-free changes with an easily removable over-center type retention pin. Bucket rotation pins are held firmly in place by the retention pins and can be removed without the use of additional hand tools. A mechanical quick coupler is also available for fast, secure work tool connections.
Wear Strips Extend Bucket Life
Wear strips provide additional bucket life by protecting the wrapper sheet.
Easy Dumping in Wet Material
Large drainage holes, incorporated into the formed back wrapper design, allow for drainage and eliminate suction caused by wet, dense materials for easier dumping.
Extended Bucket Life
Ground engaging tools are used in most general applications where good penetration and high breakout forces are required. The digging bucket's cutting edge is pre-drilled to accept bolt-on uniteeth.
Application
Caterpillar Digging Buckets are versatile for applications such as cleaning wide trenches, loading materials, grading, dressing slopes and more. These buckets are machine specific and are not interchangeable between machine model sizes.
Drainage Holes
Drainage holes on each side of the bucket allow water to drain while retaining material, which also reduces weight.
Wear Strips
Wear strips provide additional bucket life by protecting the wrapper sheet. The number of wear strips is determined by the buckets design weight target.
Design
Caterpillar Ditch Cleaning buckets feature a wide, shallow design for use in a variety of utility applications. These buckets are lighter in weight than digging buckets, and utilize internal bracing for structural support and rigidity.
Rear Edge
Smaller ditch cleaning buckets have an additional rear edge for increased grading versatility. The rear grading edge allows both sides of a trench to be finished without moving the machine.
Flexible and Convenient
Any excavator is enhanced by the addition of a thumb. The ability to handle loose material is invaluable for construction, light demolition, landscaping, loading and similar jobs.
Co-axial Mounting
Thumb mounts at the same point as the bucket, premitting it to follow the bucket path during rotation; up to 120 degrees of travel.
Low-Profile
Thumb retracts close to the stick when not needed, allowing normal loading operation of the bucket with the thumb still attached
Low profile design with a minimal affect on stick and bucket forces • Lightweight design with a minimal affect on lift capacity • Quick, easy work tool changes • Compatibility with all current Cat Mini Hydraulic Excavator Work Tools
Simplified Design by Caterpillar
Lower owning and operating cost and improved serviceability/reliability. Cat Hammers are perfectly matched to Cat carriers for maximum performance, productivity, reliability and durability.
Ultra High Blow Rate
The hammer has a high frequency and high productivity to get the job done fast. Greater productivity in concrete and asphalt applications.
One Piece Body
Reduces components and eliminates tie rods and nuts.
Single Bushing Design
Combines three bushings into one (upper, lower and thrust ring). Slip fit and field replaceable.
6-Piece Isolation System
Significantly reduces shock loads transferred to the machine during hammer operation, to improve operator comfort and extend life of the critical machine components.
Silenced as Standard
For operation in residential and noise-sensitive applications where compliance with regulations must be met.
