Tracked Excavator CX 800

The largest excavator ever offered by Case Construction Equipment — the new 80-metric-ton CX800 — continues an expansion of the Case family of "thinking machines" with revolutionary automatic-work mode and hydraulics so advanced the machines practically dig on their own.

"The CX800 is a high-production excavator with the heavy-lift capacity and dig capability for mass excavation jobs, quarry and aggregate, materials handling, and roads and bridges," said David Wolf, marketing manager at Case Construction Equipment. "It takes our smart design and ‘thinking machine’ features to a whole new level of productivity."

The CX800 weighs in at 176,502 pounds with a maximum dig depth of 35 feet and a dig radius of 53 feet 1 inch. The CX800 offers two boom sizes up to 27 feet 7 inches (8.4 m) and arm lengths up to 18 feet 5 inches (5.62 m). Maximum dig radius is 53 feet 1 inch. Bucket digging force tops 81,000 pounds (361 kN) with Power Boost. Lift capacity is 78,000 pounds (35 380 kg). Heavy-duty buckets from 42-84 inches have heaped capacities ranging from 2.53 yd3 to 5.91 yd3 (1.93 to 4.52 m3).

"The CX800 gives customers the smart Case Pro Control System hydraulics and CX ease of operation in a machine with the muscle to take on big jobs," states Wolf. "It provides digging and lifting solutions for more markets and applications."
