Serviceability
The exclusive Volvo counterweight can be opened to provide excellent access to the engine compartment and total protection of the rear of the machine. The main check points are grouped together to save time.
All grease nipples are easily accessible and there’s remote lubrication for the slew crown wheel and the offset cylinder pin. The undercarriage can also be easily cleaned.
Comfort and Convenience
The EC45 Pro features a large, wide cab with a flat floor for excellent comfort. The large glazed surface areas provide all-around visibility and the windscreen has gas struts for easy opening.
The adjustable suspension seat helps reduce fatigue and the consoles are mounted to the seat for comfortable operation. The controls are power-assisted for smoothness and precision and the blade control lever is placed in easy reach. The armrests are designed to reduce fatigue and allow more precise control
Performance
The X-shaped undercarriage is long for excellent stability and lower ground pressure. The bucket has a large range of rotation and retains the material, even at maximum height. The dig depth, tipping height and reach at ground level are among the best in its class. There’s also an optional long dipper for even greater performance and versatility.
The EC45Pro has two travel speeds: low speed provides considerable tractive force for efficient levelling and backfilling work; high speed helps shorten travel times

The very compact dimensions of the Volvo machines enable them to work safely on the narrowest sites. The equipment is well protected to reduce the risk of damage and machine downtime and preserve good residual value.
The covers are made from "telene" polymer resin (a material used for vehicle bumpers), a high impact resistant and rust-proof material to enhance the resell value over time. It also provides less vibration than metal covers. Hydraulic hoses are replaced by zinc-plated tube, whenever possible, for less downtime and repair.
