Soil Compactors

Soil Compactors
In today's construction industry “Compaction” plays a more
important role than it ever has before. During recent years, the
construction industry has learned a great deal about the importance
and effects of Compaction. In reality, this one phase of
construction represents the very foundation of the construction
industry. Today's projects around the globe demand effective
compaction of soils to support greater loads for new highways,
airports, dams and levees and building foundations. Let
Ingersoll Rand soil compactors meet all the challenges your
project offers and help you complete your job efficiently and
effectively.

Soil
Compactors --> Ingersoll Rand --> SD-77
The Ingersoll Rand SD-70/77 TF Series includes two smooth
drum models for compacting granular soils with rolling widths of 66
in. (1676 mm) and operating weights of 15,750 lb. (7143 kg) and
16,350 lb. (7415 kg). The two padfoot models weigh 17,780 lb. (8063
kg) for compacting cohesive soils.
Designed with industry-leading features, these three models provide
contractors with increased compaction performance and higher
production, reliability, ease of servicing, plus a comfortable,
efficient, and safe environment for the operator.
Superior drum performance, high engine power-to-weight ratios, and
heavy-duty construction are all common features on the SD-70/77 TF
Series.
Soil
Compactors --> Ingersoll Rand --> SD-105
The Ingersoll Rand SD-105DX TF compactor has an 84 in.
rolling width with operating weight of 23,600 lb for compacting
granular soils. Designed with industry leading features this
compactor provides contractors with increased compaction performance
and higher production, reliability, ease of servicing plus a
comforable, efficient and safe environment for the operator.
Super drum performance, high engine power
to weight ratios and heavy duty construction are all common features
on the SD-105DX. With dual amplitudes and centrifugal forces values
for optimum versatility on thin through thick material lifts. Static
weight at the drum plus high dynamic force combine to acheieve
maximum passes. Variable vibration frequency permits adjustment to
match the natural resonant frequency of the soil being compacted.
Soil
Compactors --> Ingersoll Rand --> SD-116
Handle it all, including steep grades. Nothing is too tough for the
SD-116 from Ingersoll-Rand — not even steep grades. A built-in
Ultra-Grade® traction system supplies grade-climbing grip,
extending versatility to the most difficult terrain. But
gradeability is just the beginning of it's strengths. In addition to
axles and drive motors especially designed for climbing, the SD-116
is powered by a heavy-duty,155-horsepower Cummins turbocharged
diesel engine, providing abundant torque to propel the SD-116 over
both highly cohesive and granular soils. Now you can rely on one
soil compactor to take on all the applications you may encounter.
Combining climbing with other powerful features of the
Ingersoll-Rand TF Series, the SD-116 is the do-it-all soil compactor
that does even more.
Soil
Compactors --> Ingersoll Rand --> SD-122 ( Large Soil )
The Ingersoll Rand SD-122 TF Series includes two smooth drum models
with 84 in. (2134 mm) rolling width with operating weights of 26,400
lb. (11973 kg) and 26,650 lb. (12086 kg) for compacting granular
soils and one padfoot model weighting 28,350 lb. (12857 kg) for
compacting cohesive soils.
Designed with industry leading features,
these three models provide contractors with increasedcompaction
performance and higher production, reliability, ease of servicing
plus a comfortable, efficient and safe environment for the operator.
Superior drum performance, high engine powerto weight ratios and
heavy duty construction are all common features on the SD-122 TF
Series. Both smooth and padfoot drums offer dual amplitudes and
centrifugal force values for optimum versatility on thin through
thick material lifts. Static weight at the drum plus high dynamic
force combine to achieve maximum material density in minimum passes.
Variable vibration frequency permits adjustment to match the natural
resonant frequency of the soil being compacted. The number and size
of padfeet on the SD-122F have been selected for superiorperformance
when compacting cohesive soils. Those value added features
that are standard on the DX and F models are also available as
options on the D model.
The SD-122 TF Series (SD-122D, SD-122DX and
SD-122F) is part of a complete family of high performance single
smooth and padfoot vibratory drum soil compactors.
Soil
Compactors --> Ingersoll Rand --> SD-160 ( Large Soil )
When the Ingersoll Rand SD-160 weighs in, your most demanding
projects are under control. Whether it's major highway
construction, earth- or rock-filled dam, concrete rubblization, a
landfill or an industrial park, the SD-160 powers its way to the
required density with the fewest number of passes.
Substantial size, high static weight,
abundant horsepower, massive centrifugal forces and a robust drum
are among their strengths. A 173-, six-cylinder turbocharged Cummins
diesel engine provides the power for heavy-duty applications. A
variable frequency control adjusts vibration to the natural resonant
frequency of the material being compacted. High, variable
centrifugal forces of up to 76,300 lb (339kN) allow the SD-160 to
densify thick lifts of 40 in (1 m) or more with the least number of
passes. And a clamp-on padfoot shell kit, which can easily be
installed on site, gives you the versatility of compacting either
clay or aggregate materials.
Operator comfort and safety are paramount
in the SD-160. A fully adjustable, suspension-mounted seat is
standard. Four independent vibration dampeners isolate the
operator's platform from machine vibration. Controls and gauges are
ergonomically-positioned. A lightweight, single-piece engine
enclosure hinges at the rear providing easy access to maintenance
checkpoints and service components. Handling thicker lifts
with fewer passes, the compaction forces of the SD-160 deliver
maximum productivity.
